The Villa is centrally located only a... read more short ride to Sorrento, Positano, and Pompeii. For the best trip, however, you really MUST have a car to stay here. Once you are at the Villa, you cannot go for a walk. There is no sidewalk and the road is narrow and very busy. There are 3-4 nearby grocery stores, the best selection is in Santa Agata, 10 minutes by car from the Villa. NOTE: if you are using Google maps do not use "CURRENT LOCATION" to get directions. There is a glitch in GOOGLE (as of Sept 2024) you will be sent a a much longer route than if you type in the specific address to the Villa.

  We loved Stefano’s villa. Although Sorrento can be a challenge to drive around the twisting mountain roads, the villa is off one of the more main twisting roads. The Villa... read more is very peaceful and private. Nice to be away from the crowds in Sorrento. We did drive to sorrento once for dinner, which was about 17 minutes with parking, but I wouldn’t want to stay in sorrento even if walking would be easier. There’s a few stores about 5 minute walk from the villa, and a grocery store with parking a couple minutes drive down the street. (The coop is better but further away.) Download the “Easy Park” app for all of Europe if you rent a car. Very simple to use. We loved the patio and ac in all the rooms. Stefano was extremely generous with helpful recs. Speaking of, il Refugio restaurant down the street across from the gelato and next to the grocery store is a phenomenal restaurant. No view but great vibe and best meatballs in southern Italy. Yes you can order spaghetti & meatballs. Thank you!

We had such a fantastic time staying near Sorrento! The area is absolutely gorgeous, with a nice view and easy... read more access to all the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. The place itself was super comfortable and a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

One thing to keep in mind—you’ll definitely want a car! The location is peaceful and a bit tucked away, which is part of its charm, but having a vehicle makes getting around so much easier. Driving along those winding coastal roads is an experience in itself, and totally worth it for the views!

Also, a big shoutout to Stephano—he was incredibly easy to communicate with, always helpful, and made everything super smooth for us!

All in all, an amazing getaway. If you're looking for a scenic, relaxing stay with access to some of Italy’s best spots, this is the place!

Air conditioning in all the bedrooms which made a huge difference as August is very hot. Great family room and kitchen areas. The outside garden area of the house was fantastic as well.
Stefano was always very quick in his responses and met us there to check in and walk us through the house. He was a great host!! I can see why this is a top rated property.. He also provided maps and recommendations on things to do during our time in Sorrento. Everything was amazing.
Speaking of amazing, we did the added pizza dinner. Everything was done at the house and all was fresh and most importantly delicious. This dinner was amazing and my entire family absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend doing it.

You can tell the house has been cared for as part of their family for many decades. It really gave us a small feeling for Southern Italy.
